Fruit Orchard Weather

weather stationAutomated weather stations are located in private and university orchards in the cities of Alpine, Genola, Kaysville, Lincoln Point, Payson, Perry, Santaquin, Spanish Fork, and West Mountain (West Payson). Most of these stations originated with USU's Utah Climate Center, and are now maintained with IPM funding. Evapotranspiration (ETo) calculation capabilities have been added to the Alpine, Genola, Kaysville, Lincoln Point, Perry, and Santaquin stations.

In a partnership with the Utah Climate Center, the Utah IPM program now offers Utah TRAPs (Timing Resource and Alert for Pests), an online tool that provides degree day calculations, insect phenology, and management timing recommendations.

Raw data from the IPM weather stations can also be obtained from the Utah Climate Center's Plant Management Tools.
